Hi all-
Newbie here, trying to fix my credit and apply for a USDA mortgage. Ive been reading on the EE and im thinking of giving it a try (what can it hurt, right?). Ive read all these stories on here of people having all this sucess with the EE. My question is, do you have to have the account numbers and/or know the accounts that are about to come off, or can you just call, ask for the supervisor, and ask them if there are any account thats qualify for the EE? Is it easier if you have your credit report and call knowing which accounts to ask about? Again, im new to all of this, (actually just joined these forums last night) just trying to figure out what steps to take first. Thanks!!

Welcome to MyFICO
I moved your post to its own thread so that it gets more visibility. Someone will come along shortly and provide you some help. Good luck.
The first thing I would do is order your reports from annualcreditreport.com This is the website that the government requires the bureau's to maintain so the public can easily access their credit report for free once per year.
Once you have the reports you'll be able to see everything that's currently being reported. If you have any collections and charge off's, this report will either show you the date of first delinquency or when the account is scheduled to be removed.
You definitely want to know which accounts to request the early removal on. After you pull your reports, feel free to list your derogatory accounts here and we'll be glad to help you determine which accounts to call about and give you advice on any others that aren't within the time frame yet.
