I didn't know if I should post this in the Credit Card section or here, but I thought since it's about rebuilding I'd post here...
What is the easiest secured card to get from one of the major banks? I tried Bank of America but got denied : (
Anyone else? I heard something about a secured Matrix card, but I got a shady feeling from them....
Stay away, far away, from Matrix.
Try Capital One. Their secured card, in my opinion, is one of the best.
Thank you!
I knew Matrix sounded fishy!!
I'd love to have Cap 1... but are they hard to get since I was denied for BOA?
cap one secured i believe is the easiest to get. boa secured is not as lenient. i had 16 derogatories and 1 judgment when i applied back in 8/2012 and cap one approved me for $99 down only.
Starting Score: 497Def cap one secured. My husband was just approved for $200 CL with $99 deposit.

BOA and Citi secured cards are on the tougher side to get approved for. Capital One is going to be on the easier side. When I started rebuilding a couple of years ago, I went with Cap One and Orchard. But I believe Orchard is now Cap One if im not mistaken. Try Cap One.
sounds good but what happens when you open the account, apply for the card and get denied? I was denied for a secured Capital One
Probably no use in trying that one for me. ****oh, just saw the part where you apply by phone no credit check. hmmm I will look into this!
