Effect of late payments

What I read on here is that with time a late payment counts less and less. Also that's the 35% of the FICO score.

So my question is, what is menat by less and less? Is it a percentage?

When does it really stop affecting the score? 7.5 years after DOFD?

Re: Effect of late payments

If you have 2 30 day lates back to back, that will have a more negative impact.

Same goes for 90, 120 and 150.  A 120 day late is considered a major derogatory and will greatly impact your score.

A single 30 day late has little impact after 2 years. If you got one removed that is over 2 years old you probably wouldn't see much increase.

Lates come off 7 years after their occurence.

When do 90, 120, 150 day lates start to play a less signigicant impact? 3 Years for 90 days?

Re: Effect of late payments

Those types of lates are major degrogatories and will affect your credit till they come off.

They rate up there with a CO.
