Equifax Number

Hello all,

Does anyone have a phone number for Equifax that will allow me to talk to an actual person?  I need to dispute the fact that they are showing my car loan as being closed when its NOT.  GMAC says that I must call the CRA to have them change it.

I think you are being pushed around - it is true that you can complain with EQ, and they would have to verify the TL.

But GMAC is reporting incorrectly - they are in violation if you notify them - and then they can take it up with EQ. E-Oscar is the system used by all furnishers for updating records into the CRA files - why would EQ be resposnible for reporting Closed? they simply publish and report what furnishers like GMAC put into the system. Garbage in, garbage out.

In any case, I would send a nice letter to GMAC and EQ, and have paper trail for ITS if it doesn't get fixed one way or another.
