I have a small claims judgment that was awarded against me in 2006. I paid judgment off in 2010. The trade shows up on my equifax report as satisfied but it shows up twice. I have sent removal letters 3 times. Trans Union and Experian removed the trade completely. Help me please someone.
Does it have the exact same information? Why won't EQ remove it?
I am going through something similar with EQ... So frustrating.
I have had a lot of issues with EQ. All of them being valid. I found the only way to get anywhere with them is to file a complaint with the CFPB and just upload your file/proof in your complaint with the CFPB. Normally it takes 30 days for EQ to respond. I just find that this is the most efficient way to get problems resolved with the EQ.
I had an unpaid judgment from 2007 for $16,000 (a failed business loan for electronic equipment for which I unwisely used my personal credit ) which was listed twice with Equifax and included in Bankruptcy. I tried disputing the duplicated accounts online but they both just came back as verified. So last month I called Equifax Customer Service and spoke with one of their reps. At first they wanted to argue that there were two seperate judgments but once they saw the duplicated account numbers and that that both judgments were for the same amount, date, courthouse and creditor, they agreed to remove the dupilcated account. I seem to have had better results actually calling the credit bureaus than just filing a dispute online. Maybe I just have Beginner's Luck, though.Might be worth a phone callor two if you aren't getting anywhere online or mail with the credit bureaus.
