Equifax reporting judgment IIB as Satisfied dated 3 months after Discharge.

I had a judgment that was IIB. My BK was discharged 1/2014 but Equifax is showing satisfied on 4/2014 which the gives the appearance of being paid after my discharged.

At that time of my discharge Equifax did not want to report the judgment as being discharged so I contacted Cap 1 and they filed a in the court in April, 2014 that the judgment was paid. So Equifax pick up that date and reported it.

can someone, please tell me how is a judgment that was IIB suppose to report?

As as we all know Eqifax is a ****bleep ***to deal with.

You need to file a motion to vacate the judgment in the court that granted it based on the BK, once this gets done and its granted the judgment is gone from your CRs.

do you think I can file with the court to vacate even if cap 1 already filed with the court that it is satisfied?

thank you so much for answering and your advise.

Yes you should be able to get it vacated in any state based on your BK discharge, federal law always trumps state law and I say this because some states allow you to vacate a judgment that has been paid.
