Experian says it will automatically fall off??

We called for EE on hubbys trade line that shows to come off in June (via ex CR ). When we Called to ask for EE, she says it will automatically come off in June even though the actual date of exclusion is October. The EX CR shows its scheduled to drop in JUNE. is this correct?? Are those dates on the CR the actual date of exclusion or are they 3 months prior????

Re: Experian says it will automatically fall off??

For EX it's 3 months prior and for TU is 1 month prior. EQ doesn't show a drop off date but it's a month before too. I would think of the DoFD is Oct 2009 that they would've EE'd today. Maybe call back and try again and if need be ask for a supervisor (nicely of course) and they can do it for you.

Each one sometimes has different fall for dates but transunion is the fastest and best to delete Daly up to 6 months.Eperian will do EE of 3 months no Equifax 1 month.Remember not required or rule of thumb it's a Courtsey.Early October fall off dat equals to let June early removal.

Re: Experian says it will automatically fall off??

I presume that you are referring to excluson of a reported charge-off or collection.

FCRA 605(a)(4) and 605(c) together define the latest date that a CRA must exclude is 7 years plus 180 days from the reported DOFD.

Prior to that, the CRAs can exclude earlier, but there is no requirement that they exclude until the full 7 years plus 180 days have expired.

The additional 180 days is there for reasons that are not necessary to explan here, and the CRAs routinely use approx 7 years from the DOFD as their projected/estimated exclusion date.   They thus routinely grant their own "early exclusion," but if they miss that date, there is no violation on their part until the additional 180 days has also expired.

When you call a CRA requeting an early exclusion, you are in effect requesting an earlier exclusion of their already routine early exclusion.

Thus, dont get hung up on when things must or automatically become excluded, as there is some flexibility until the full period has expired.

Re: Experian says it will automatically fall off??

DW EE'd a CO from EX last month or in Feb that was set to age off in August. She used the online dispute portal, selecting "other" or something similar as the reason. There was a notes box to enter an explanation. Wife simply typed in:

"I am NOT disputing this item. I am requesting early exolusion. Please and thank you".

24 hours later it was deleted. Same thing with the same CO with one of the other CRAs. It was literally six months our or a few days short of six months from falling off in its own.

Re: Experian says it will automatically fall off??

I was able to get an EX account removed 2 months early.  It was done within hours after a quick phone call.  EQ has a different delete date and they refused to do it a day before August.  *insert eye roll emoji*

Re: Experian says it will automatically fall off??

My collection is due to drop off in December, but EX has it set for September. I am hoping I could get a EE some time in June.

@Kayla325

Transunion will almost always do EE 6 months early from the stated DOFD date. I'm 2/2 at the 6-month mark with them. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Experian says it will automatically fall off??

Do you have to have a reason to ask for EE? I've got my last baddie set to fall off in September and would love to see this thing finally gone.
