First Unsecured CC since rebuilding Jan 2013!

After my nice 20 point boost recently removing 2 collections, and working on my cap1 secured and first progress (both reporting), I tried the Credit One unsecured preapproval and was approved.

So I pulled the trigger...

$500 unsecured!  Happy dancing in my living room!!!

No more cards necessary now, I'm just going to keep up the work.

I can't say it enough, but thank you everyone...I'm starting to have hopeSmiley Wink

Great job keep up the good work Smiley Happy

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: First Unsecured CC since rebuilding Jan 2013!

Good work.  Had the same thing happen to me.  I applied online for a secured CC from my CU and they called and gave me an unsecured CC with a $500 limit, no fees whatsoever and a 10.99% interest rate.  I damn near passed out.  At a 631 My Fico score I wasn't expecting that!!

Thanks!

I know the fees are crummy and the interest starts accruing immediately, but this card will serve a purpose long enough to get me to a better place!

do what I did...buy $50 in gas (about 8 gallons) on Monday and pay it off on Saturday morning!  And another thing....try your local credit union.  I applied for a secured card and they gave me an unsecured card at 10.99%.  You never know unless you ask.  And be armed with your My Fico score so you can show them what your score is beforehand so they don't have to make a hard pull on your CR.  Good Luck!!

Funny you mention that, because that's all I'm using these cards for is a small gas charge paid off fast, and utilization I learned here hehehe!

I don't currently belong to a CU, but it's on my list!
