Fox Collection Center and PFDs

I have a collection account that I'm going to attempt to PFD with Fox Collection Center. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them and if they typically accept PFDs? Everything I have seen on this board relating to them is for medical collections and from what I understand that process is somewhat different from a normal collection. Here is the information from my TU report:

Foxcollecent
$242
$242
Aug 04, 2011
05 Louisville Athletic Club Tay
XXXXXXXXXXXX9332
Individual

Placed for collection

If they do accept the PFD terms and delete, do you think I may see a score jump. My most recent derog will be 2 years old at the beginning of December. Thanks in advance for your help.

Bump. Has anyone dealt with them?

Re: Fox Collection Center and PFDs

Just wanted to update this for anyone that may have to deal with them in the future.

I initially tried to PFD by mail. I waited two weeks and got no response. I searched for an e-mail address for them because the wait was killing me. I eventually sent an e-mail through the only address listed on the contact section on their website.

I got a response a few business days later. I requested a PFD but their policies don't allow them to do that directly. They mark paid in full and update at the end of the month. The representative that I corresponded with said they do have a policy that allows you to submit a removal request after it is paid in full. She actually said you can send a GW along with the payment after I dug a little deeper.

I understand that this is not the ideal way to go about getting this deleted, but I figured I would take a chance considering it is my only collection and I can GW them afterward since I have some leverage since the initial debt is paid.

Re: Fox Collection Center and PFDs

Here is my final update from my dealings with this CA.

I sent out payment on 12/10/13 via Certified Mail (tracking purposes). They received it a 2 or 3 days later since they are not too far away from my current location. I stayed in contact with the person weekly to verify that the payment had been received since I knew it had at least been delivered based on tracking the Certified Mail code. They eventually said they had received it on 12/19/13 (guess they don't monitor the PO Box daily). Payment was processed and report was updated on 12/30/13. My GW request that I sent along with the payment wasn't granted, but I will continue to try to GW now that the collection is paid.

All and all, they were fairly easy to deal with. I had no complaints with the way they handled things and they were very straight forward with answering my questions regarding their policies for GW and such. For those that don't like to deal with CAs over the phone, my rep was very responsive to e-mail. Just send you initial request to the contact e-mail listed on their website and they will get in touch with you.

Re: Fox Collection Center and PFDs

Thanks for posting this information, I have a small collection with them that I was planning on paying and trying to see if they did a PFD or not.
