Every card I've applied for have all low limits. Ive called to have my limits increased on two of my oldest cards only to be denied. I haven't had a late payment in over two years and my current utilization is at 8%. What more must I do.? Also I would like to also apply for an auto loan (because my current vehicle is inop) in the near future but afraid I will get shot down even from my own credit unions because of these low limits. I've had 2 auto loans before, one in 2002 and another cosigned with my father in 2005 both paid as agreed. Will the low credit card limits hurt my auto loan chances? Sorry for the rant and thank you in advance!
As the previous poster said, email the EO of cap1 for your cap1 and orchard card to get CLI. There are literally hundreds of threads on dealing with Cap1's EO. A couple hours of research and reading will help tremendously.
With your Walmart and Amazon cards, call the GE backdoor number. Again, there are hundreds of treads on this too. GE is always a SP for Amazon and Walmart.
If there's some baddies still left on your CR, perhaps you should concentrate on finding ways to have them removed first.
You should be able to get an Auto loan with those scores. Go to a dealer, pick out a car and see what they can do for you. I got an auto loan with Auto-adjusted score of 590 and didn't get completely kiled on the interest rate either.
It may help your mix of credit as well.
Thanks I've called the backdoor number for walmart and was denied already. Just waiting on the letter to tell me why. As far as cap 1 I just recently applied last night before my rant and I was going to call but I saw a post as to where cap 1 will not take request on a newly approved account.
You won't have any trouble with getting a car loan, especially from FORD. I had a lengthy conversation with their mgr. while we were getting our vehicle loan set up. They don't care so much about your limits, etc. They care about the fact that you can AFFORD the car. We got 3.9% with 0 down, 5 years....scores were 640 ish on TU and EQ.
If you want bigger limits, add some dough to the secured card.
I believe I may chill for alittle bit (unsure if recon would be a hp, orchard was). My main objective is getting a new truck and thought getting a card with a high limit $2500 or above would help. Ive had personal loans through my CU of $3100 and $1500 (chump change I know) and my auto through them was only $19000 back in 05. Im taking a reach on this new auto loan for a 12 or 13 F150 or tundra crew. Houston has really great prices on these two as compared to my current locale (Arizona). Get this 12 Tundra CrewMax in Houston $26000, in Arizona a whopping $38000
