GECRB/Amazon.com Store Card Clean Up

This past February I started working on my credit repair.  One of those baddies was with Amazon whose credit holder was then GECRB.  They sent me a letter in February that they would have the credit reporting agencies to delete all derogatory information from my credit bureau files.

Now Synchrony Bank has replaced GECRB.  I have written a letter to the CEO of Synchrony including a copy of the letter from GECRB asking that she honor their letter and have the credit bureaus remove all derogatory information.  As of right now, I plan on sending the request via FAX.   I am hoping this is the right road to take.  Now I am having second thoughts about faxing and wondering if I should send it by certified mail.  What you are your thoughts on this, please.

By the way, I phone the Customer Service Department at the number on the GECRB letter and was put on hold for about 20 or 30 minutes.  Then the received was picked up and hung up.  I don't know if this was intentional or not, but decided to just write a letter.

As always, your thoughts and suggestions are treasured.

I would send it CMRRR that way there is no way for synchrony to say they didn't receive your letter.
