Happy days for me! Got notified that my 60-day late on my mortgage account fell off today - 6 months early. Only have a few (6 actually) 30-day lates that will fall off by June of 2015. So, what did that mean? My FAKO EX score jumped by 12 points to 780. I wonder what that means for my actual FICO EX? On goes my Sherlock Holmes hat to begin the investigation. A couple of months ago I applied for a Gold Delta AMEX SkyMiles account and though instantly approved received a credit score with the card. Didn't think too much about, but after finding it realize that I got it because I didn't receive the best APR for the card (about 2 points higher across the board). Anyway, the FICO score reported by AMEX was 793 on 22 Feb. Checked my creditreportdotcom score for the same day since I have been monitoring daily for the last few months and it was 768 a difference of 25 points. Assuming everything reported the same on both the 22nd of Feb and today, my quick fuzzy math of adding 12 to that 22 Feb FICO score would give me a FICO EX of 805 today.
Whether that is correct or not it has to be close and I would have ahieved my goal score of 800! Can only imagine if I continue along the positive path where my score may end up. Got so excited that I almost came out of the garden and app'd for the Fidelity AMEX and Merrill+ cards. Didn't do it, but may do it next month after all my cards are reporting zero balance except for 1.
Someone said it in an earlier post today that rebuilding credit is truly a marathon and this has been. I found a CR that I pulled back in 2008 and my scores were in the high 500s/low 600s, then got in the 700s in 2011 and now whoot, whoot! Sorry for all the excitement and random discussion, but I can't help it. May actually pull my FICO scores just for validation.
CONGRATS!!!!!!

Thanks. I know I seem all over the place, but I've had that goal for a couple of years now.
Congrats!!! Don't worry about a 2 point difference between APR, you got a great card and you were gonna PIF anyways...right
Congrats .. good job!

Absolutely not worried about the APR points, PIF all the way. On another note, will likely PC to the ED or EDP if AMEX ever makes that available given recent changes by the airlines.
