So, for certain reasons, trying to get this paid collection to update/remove before the end of the month. It still shows unpaid.
Multiple reps for the company stated they would remove it from my credit report after I paid. (Wouldn't send anything in writing) Last person, I spoke with, with an American accent, told me, they do that to all their paid accounts; remove them.
Well, I paid this last week, still there and not showing paid on my credit report.
Should I just dispute this with Transunion (Only bureau it's showing up on)? I know this company is timely with their responses concerning disputes. They responded last dispute (before I paid) within 48 hours, and I know it wasn't resolved via E-Oscar, because the company made a remark about Transunion e-mailing them.
I've heard of Rapid Rescore, but I don't think it's possible to do, unless shopping for a mortgage, and then I need a letterhead stating paid.
But, yea, thinking of just disputing with Transunion, stating it's paid, and hopefully they'll remove it, in one swoop.
Also, one more question, people state...you should never tell the CRA that the creditor stated it was going to remove it, because that would go against reporting truthfully; but why when I attempt to dispute online; this is an option: 'Creditor agreed to remove this account from my file ' Is this a trick response?
The CA is Credit Collection Services out of Needham, MA; if anyone deals with them in the future.
Ive dealt with them. Paid and they removed. Also wouldn't give me anything in writing. I don't know that I would dispute this as paid in full with the CRA. If ccs doesn't respond, the CRA might just update it to paid in full.
Unfortunately, one week is not enough time. YOu need to relax a bit. Also, where are you checking your reports from?
I'm checking my report from the site, where the credit score never changes...USAA
I found them on BBB...they have an A rating...300+ complaints, but they responded to them all, might go that route...
Upon, reading their responses to complaints, I regret not going this route instead of paying them...
Truth be told, I believe you were, and are better off, having paid them. If they deleted, and that is IF, from a bbb complaint, they would have more then likely just sold it to another company. Even if you went the BBB route, and were succesfull, I highly doubt it would be off your credit reports already.
USAA scores, do not, I believe, update instantly. Maybe once a month or something. They are also not 100% accurate as far as reporting what is/is not on your REAL credit reports. They show accounts, that have been deleted from my actual reports. Infact, ccs, is one of those accounts. It is showing on my usaa report, but not on my report from the actual CRA. Lastly, USAA scores are fako, and not fico. They are not real scores. So whatever you need this off so quickly for, I would not be basing on the scores USAA is giving you.
