Re: Getting a CA to delete due to licensing/bonding per state requirements

If your search nets no results, I would say that's a good indication that the CA is not bonded in TX. I called the sec of state office to verify my findings.

In TX. only bonded. I don't think they have to be Lic.

Happydays: that sounds like a great idea! The only problem is I filed complaints with the BBB and My states AG already. I might send the letter anyway telling them they are in violation. Also send what proof I have to the CRA. I just feel that they are not quick to listen to the consumer. That's if you can even get past the language barrier.

Here you go http://direct.sos.state.tx.us/debtcollectors/DCSearch.asp

To my disliking, the other CA are legit at this angle. Getting 2 deleted because of this is not bad though. I think you just have to keep looking for their dishonest ways.

going2tdc,

Thanks so much for the link.  I've been searching all over the AG website for this.  Awesome.

I've found two that are not bonded.  One I have already paid and the other still trying to collect.

AFNI Inc, the one I was hoping wasn' t bonded is Smiley Sad so i'm not sure how a fellow poster from Texas was able to claim AFNI as not legally bonded to collect in Texas.

Re: Getting a CA to delete due to licensing/bonding per state requirements

Man... You are very welcome. I gave up searching and found that link on another site! As I have stated in the past, I hate asset and I was hoping they would not be bonded! I feel your pain on that one. Federal Pacific, who I found not to be bonded sent me an offer to settle for $659 on $6590. I don't know how they figure I owe them anything, I was considering paying it but I'm glad I found this site first! They would have just sent the remainder to another CA. Not to mention, I already got them deleted from my EX, just 2 more to go.

Thats awesome!  Now my next step.  I have to decide if I should write a letter, file a compliant or dispute with the CRA on these accounts.

If I can get rid of Asset to that would be great.

Re: Getting a CA to delete due to licensing/bonding per state requirements

That worked! And the first ca that I entered, their license was suspended in 2002 and their parent companies expired in 2007. Even though these reportings are old I am still going to send those letters to them this week. certified mail. Thanks for the tip!!
