Hi guys,
I previously had a capital one unsecured credit card for $600. Long story short, I got myself into financial problems and the account went to collections where I later paid it off without deletion. I am in the process of rebuilding my credit and looking to buy a house. I have a USAA Secured Credit Card, but want to add another credit card as well. What do you think the odds of me getting approved for a Capital One secured card would be after a previous paid charge off with the same company?
Thanks.

I have a previous paid CO from them from years and years ago and still they deny me.
I think I have read where others have had luck.
You can try a pre-approval and see if it has anything for you before applying. If there is you could apply. No guarantees and a HP.
I had a charge-off with them previously and was approved for a card. So it does happen.

+1. I also had a CO with Capital One years ago that resulted in them garnishing my wages. I applied for their secured card in July and was denied. Last month, I began to finally focus on rebuilding my credit and noticied the judgment on my report was not marked as satisfied. After it was updated as a satisfied judgment, I reapplied for the secured card and was approved. I actually just made my deposit last week, so, I'm waitiing for it to come. Capital One is a company that can be forgiving.
I included cap one in my ch 7 bk which was disch 3-9-2012 and got a cash rewards card with a higher limit and lower apr opened on 3-24-2012 so it is possible for cap one to issue credit after a bad acct.
I had a charge off with Cap1 from 2009 (of $2800) and was approved for the Cap1 Secured CC in Feb with a $99 deposit for $300 CL. So it is possible :-)
