Getting started and could use some help

So I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and decided it's time to post.  This site has been an amazing help in getting the credit repair process jump started for me.

My goal is to secure a home loan by the end of this year.  I've watched my CR's for a few years and gotten credit scores, but wanted a good baseline according to the mortgage lender I am going to use, so applied for a loan knowing I would be turned down just to get started.  Their scores are as follows: Beacon - 593, Fair Isaac - 624, and FICO classic - 643.

I have several questions that I could ask over multiple posts, but I hope it's ok to put them all in this one.  Please let me know if it's not.

The Good!

-I was recently approved for a Capital One CC with a low limit.  Now in the 2nd billing cycle.  How long does that usually take to begin reporting to the CRAs?

-I also have 3 Sallie Mae loans that have been reporting from 17-21 months with no delinquencies.  Do these lines work effectively to establish positive installment loan history?

The Baddies.... No judgey, I have made poor financial decisions, to say the very least (I hope it's ok to list them all out!!)

-Chapter 7 Bankruptcy  Oct 2004 [pretty much just waiting this out]

-Credit Protection Assoc [OC-Time Warner .  Bal $360. Opened 12/2007.  Disputed online with CRAs but not removed]

-Enhanced Recovery [OC-Sprint.  Bal. $300. Opened 10/2008.  I have never done anything with this one, suggestions? Any success with PFD or would it not even be worth the time as it would have such little effect on my score?]

-Executive Financial [Medical Bills x3.  Total Bal. ~$240. Opened 8/09, 8/08, & 7/08. All 3 reporting on TU, none on Exp, and 2 on EQ.  I have sent a PFD letter to this creditor in the past week, so I will wait to ask any questions once I hear back on that.]

-2 other very small medical CA [$22 and $7 - SERIOUSLY SEVEN DOLLARS??  - I have sent them a PFD and waiting to hear back]

-Credit Acceptance - Auto loan [PIF 1/2012.  Only problem with this is that it shows a 30, then 60 day late in 12/11 and 1/12.  Looking at my payment history this is not accurate.  What's the best method to correcting the erroneous payment history?]

Now for the FUN ones:

-LVNV Funding [OC-Cap One. Bal $1400 and growing.  Opened 4/09. I have disputed with CRAs and of course lost.  Just last night filed a complaint with the BBB, so I am waiting on a response from that investigation.]

-Credit One Bank [the OC of the LVNV acct.  Charge off.  Bal $827 on $350 limit. I believe the inital DOFD is in early 2008.  My plan is IF I can get LVNV to delete their trade line, I will send a PFD letter to Credit One.  Thoughts, advice, or just wait?]

-CashCall [Charge-off.  Date of CO not listed.  Opened acct 4/07.  High Bal $5075.  "Transferred to another lender or claim purchased".  Nearest I can tell I stopped paying them in 3/09.  That's after paying off the principle +some fees.  I have no idea how much they say I owe as I've never received anything in writing claiming what I owe them.  In light of recent publicized litigation against them, I am wondering if now would be the time to ask them to remove this from my CR.  The company was clearly violating state and federal laws and many states have now deemed these loans as illegal.  Any advice on dealing with these people is appreciated. I was worried about awakening a sleeping giant, but MY state's SOL is only 3 years, although I know they have sued consumers well beyond that]

-First Premier Bank [Charge-off.  Bal $562 on $400 limit.  DOFD should also be early 2008. No CA listed on my CR. I have recently received a settlement offer from First National Collection Bureau, which I believe may be a tertiary CA.  I have never received a debt validation from them, and they are not reporting to the CRAs.  I am considering sending a PFD to FPB.  Advice? Anyone had success this far out?]

Thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone has to offer!

Sometimes we're slow sorry

Was any of this included in BK?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

No - anything that's still active was post-BK stuff.  Which is why it's just SO bad!   I wish it was included in it, trust me!

Should start reporting any time.  It will give you a revolv account.  Yes, the loans will factor in an installment account.

The Baddies.... No judgey, I have made poor financial decisions, to say the very least (I hope it's ok to list them all out!!)

-Chapter 7 Bankruptcy  Oct 2004 [pretty much just waiting this out]  Almost there on this one.

-Credit Protection Assoc [OC-Time Warner .  Bal $360. Opened 12/2007.  Disputed online with CRAs but not removed]  Why did you dispute?  Not yours?  Almost to the end of the CRTP on this one.

-Enhanced Recovery [OC-Sprint.  Bal. $300. Opened 10/2008.  I have never done anything with this one, suggestions? Any success with PFD or would it not even be worth the time as it would have such little effect on my score?]  It is affecting your score, it's a collection.  An old one, yes.  What's the DoFD of the OC?

-Executive Financial [Medical Bills x3.  Total Bal. ~$240. Opened 8/09, 8/08, & 7/08. All 3 reporting on TU, none on Exp, and 2 on EQ.  I have sent a PFD letter to this creditor in the past week, so I will wait to ask any questions once I hear back on that.]This one is old too, good luck on the PFD.

-2 other very small medical CA [$22 and $7 - SERIOUSLY SEVEN DOLLARS??  - I have sent them a PFD and waiting to hear back]$7, wow!

-Credit Acceptance - Auto loan [PIF 1/2012.  Only problem with this is that it shows a 30, then 60 day late in 12/11 and 1/12.  Looking at my payment history this is not accurate.  What's the best method to correcting the erroneous payment history?] You could try a GW, or do a Direct Dispute.

Now for the FUN ones:

-LVNV Funding [OC-Cap One. Bal $1400 and growing.  Opened 4/09. I have disputed with CRAs and of course lost.  Just last night filed a complaint with the BBB, so I am waiting on a response from that investigation.]  What was the basis for the dispute?  The complaint with the BBB?  What was the DoFD of this account with Cap1?

-Credit One Bank [the OC of the LVNV acct.  Charge off.  Bal $827 on $350 limit. I believe the inital DOFD is in early 2008.  My plan is IF I can get LVNV to delete their trade line, I will send a PFD letter to Credit One.  Thoughts, advice, or just wait?]  I wouldn't acknowledge the debt, but I would say something like, I don't know what this debt is, or if it's mine.  But if you delete it, I'll pay you XXX amount and put in a percentage, see if they counter.

I was worried about awakening a sleeping giant, but MY state's SOL is only 3 years, although I know they have sued consumers well beyond that]  They can sue for it, but you would use the SOL as a defence.  Most times they get default judgements because no one shows up.

Advice? Anyone had success this far out?] A PFD sounds good,  see if they will accept it.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone has to offer!

You have some baddies, but your baddies are old and getting older.  So that's good news.  Just keep plugging away, you're getting close!

Re: Getting started and could use some help

Thank you for the tips!

Enhanced Recovery [OC-Sprint.  Bal. $300. Opened 10/2008.  I have never done anything with this one, suggestions? Any success with PFD or would it not even be worth the time as it would have such little effect on my score?]  It is affecting your score, it's a collection.  An old one, yes.  What's the DoFD of the OC?   Looked this up today, DOFD should be October 2007, so I will be waiting for this one to expire this year too.

Just trying to validate the debt.  I've never gotten any response when requesting validation, yet they insist I owe it.... Waiting for proof that I do!

I am working on a PFD on them to get out asap.

I've also recently been talking to a friend of mine that works for a credit repair company under an attorney.  Went over fees (no monthly, no startup, only pay if a tradeline is deleted) ends up being pretty reasonable for the benefit.  So, I am seriously considering having her help me with the tradelines that I am getting nowhere very quickly on.  So, with time and a little nudge,  all of this bad stuff will make its way off of my report.  I'm ready for that day to be here.... Smiley Happy
