$733 medical collection came off of TU today! Don't know why, not going to ask, but I've been hammering at it through the HIPAA process as well as a BBB complaint. That BBB complaint also included an IRS tax lien that has been withdrawn (sent the paperwork, but it still showed, so I MOVed with no valid response, only having it labelled "frivolous") and I tossed a paid state tax lien into that mix as well, same idea, MOVed with no response. BBB website says still waiting on a response, so unsure if the med collection is related to that or not.
I still have 2 medical collections sitting on EQ, although one was reporting to both EQ and EX and it's off EX already, plus I have a letter from the CA that they were removing. The other was sorted through the HIPAA process and is from the same CA as the $733 one, but it's still sitting as well. I'm going to give EQ a few more weeks to clear them off before doing anything else.
Once the IRS thing and the last 2 medical collections drop off, I will only have the state tax lien which I'll keep hammering away at and some 90-120-150s from 2007 on a mortgage that is showing current as the only serious baddies left.
In the meantime, I'm waiting for my last student loan to consolidate and be put on the IBR repayment plan and then it will be time to app for my new house (which I put a contract on last week)! THANK YOU MyFICO boards for giving me the courage to do this on my own.
Great work and Congrats on your contract!
It is SOOO worth it in the end!! :-)

WTG so far!!! Your doing great!!!
Wee update: one of the collections came off of EQ and I got a SW alert that I finally hit 640! Still waiting on the last one to fall, but not too worried since I have a letter from the CA. It's just taking EQ a bit longer to update, I guess. Still waiting on BBB complaint about TU, they have until Friday. Don't know what the next steps are there, maybe write AGAIN with copies of the tax lien paperwork?
Slow and steady wins this race.
Thankfulheart,
