Guess Who Is In The 700 Club!

I am super excited and wanted to share with everyone, and also thank everyone for the help provided so far.  EQ finally got my updated utilization reported today.  I am too impatient and couldn't wait for my SW alert, so I burned my 1 free report through SW to find a 707!!!  Soon EX will be equally clear (so presumably a close to equal score).  Just have to work on the last couple baddies on TU.

Such a great day.  With my new score, I was able to get a Best Buy Store Card with $2300 and a Chase Freedom with $1000.  One more prime card hopefully within the next week or two and then I am headed to the garden for a while.

Am I reading your sig correctly? You went from 594 to 707 EQ FICO in two weeks?

You are.  More like 3 weeks, but yeah.  I was also at around 550 in mid January, but I don't list that because it may have been auto enhanced FICOs (I got them from car dealerships).  A lot of luck helped me get that many points.  So many of my collections were only reported on TU.  The couple that were on EQ were invalid, so I had them removed after disputes.  My utilization was also around 90% (I was dumb about how much that hurt) and is now down to 1%.  A combination of getting rid of any and all bad marks, hence getting rebucketed, and getting my utilization down is why my score jumped so much.

EX is next.  After I got rid of invalid debts, I successfully PFDed the last two on my EX.  Just waiting for the last one to fall off (should be in a week or two) and my EX should be the same as my EQ.  TU will still have 3 baddies, two of them for about 2-3 more years still Smiley Sad  I am still working hard to PFD those.

Well, it sure was nice while it lasted.  After inquiries from Best Buy, Chase, and Amex hit my report, I just got a ScoreWatch alert today and I dropped almost 20 points to 689.  Worth it though I think.  I was approved for 2 of those 3 and I'm sure my score will rebound in a couple months.  I expected a drop, but a little surprised by such a big one after just 3 inquiries though.

Congrats jimbo! I know it's probably a bummer to be under 700 but at least that happened AFTER your approvals! And now with your nice new CL's it seems almost certain that it'll rebound.
