HIPAA Letter to OC

I have several paid medical collections that are reporting on my CR.  However, I don't have a clue about the date of service, who the patient was, etc.  I'd like to send this HIPAA letter to hurry & get them off my report.  I've already disputed these with the CRA, but they've not responded yet and they haven't been deleted.

How should I proceed?

google whychat hipaa

You should figure out what you should do next-

You next step will be based on if the CRA's verify or not.

good luck

Timothy,

I did read the Whychat info.  However, I'm just trying to figure out should I call Medicol to get this information or DV them to get the date of service, name of patient, treatment, etc.  Or, should I wait for the CRA to send me validation if they can get it?

Whychat's letter's is not a swift process.

You can call the OC if you need additional info. Don't call the CA AT ALL if you are using Whychat's letter's. His site will explain why.

Re: HIPAA Letter to OC

Unfortunately, the OC won't give me any info.  The CA is their in-house company so I don't have much choice in whether or not I speak to them or not if I want the information.

I hate to be dishonest so I need to find a way to get this information so I can have these collections deleted since they've been paid.  Any suggestions?  I could always have my daughter pretend to be me to get the info.

I don't understand why the OC cannot give this information to you. Did they say why? If it is in-house then surely they know the information you are requesting. I would call and escalate to someone who can help you.

They said that they no longer have the info since they've transferred it to their in-house collection agency.
