HIPAA Process

I went throught the first step of the process and sent certified letters to the credit agencies.  They refused to investigate anything that i sent to them.  What should I do now?  What is the next step I can take?

You sent the pre hipaa letter to the CRA's?   Had you previously disputed these items?  What was the reason they gave for not investigating?

They said these items had been validated the year before so they were not going to reinvestigate them again.

How many times did you dispute and when was the last time? Are these paid or unpaid collections? If paid, who did you pay? How old?

When I did not know any better when I first started working on things on my credit report, I disputed everything on there.  These bills on my credit report are unpaid.  I tried to follow the HIPAA process and now they will not do anything but send a letter back saying these items have been verified when I disputed them.  I know that first letter is asking for all kind of information and they will not give me anything at all.  What should my next step be?  Can you help?

little - you have to be specific in your answers, fused can't help if you don't give him dates to his questions.  How many times did you dispute?  You apparently just recently sent the pre-hippa letter (what date)?  When did you originally dispute with them and how many times? (If last year you sent in a dispute, when was that?) You also have to list how old your collections are, if you have 10 and they all happened at the same time (give that date) if not, list all of them so we know how old/new they are.
