Hello,
long story short I had a charged off HSBC card, which eventually led to almost being sued by a collection firm (Blitt and Gaines) I have paid the balance in full and called HSBC to update as paid and paid in full...I tried to GW HSBC but they won't budge, How can I at least get it to update from "deregatory" to "Paid" Any help would be appreciated!!
This is how it's showing on my TU CR right now

Actually it is reporting right. It does indicate it was paid after CO. There's actually nothing on here that appears to be wrong. Best bet at this time is to try to GW them again. Maybe try moving up the ladder to a VP or Finance Officer. I know it's a stretch, but the holidays are coming up. Maybe you'll get lucky. Remember, they can say 100 times but it only takes one yes. Best of luck to you.
Should'nt the condition be showing as "Paid" like it did on my other CO account that was paid off?
It states paid after charge off. That's acutally what it is. Since it is paid, you should try to GW it. It might be tough, but can be done.
+1
The prior reporting of the charge-off is irrelevant to its ultimate payment status.
The CO remains, and the debt, just as on any paid account, must be updated to paid, and the balance of debt remaining as $0.
They have done both.
