Harvard Collections question

I called the OC (Sprint) yesterday, to see if they would take back the account from the CA (Harvard collections).

They said that if I pay them directly, then they will notify the CA and tell them the balance owed is zero.

I asked them if the CA would delete and the said no, they would update as zero balance, paid in full.

This upset me, so I called the CA......I know, I know. They said that they routinely delete accounts after payment.

Should I email them and request this in writing first? Or should I just send them the standard PFD?

Re: Harvard Collections question

I'd send a PFD to the CA before paying anything.

ETA...I'd also DV first. I had Harvard and they went away fairly easily. Look around for other PFD success stories for Harvard. There may be others...can't remember.
