Have you ever had a FO(Fall Off)?

LOL! Ok I made up FO.  But Im happy folks.  However cautious. Here's the deal:

Pinnacle Financial Collection from 05' (a old t-mobile account that I was over charged on but didn't follow proper channels to dispute)

FO - All three bureaus as of today's pull on my CRAs

So my quelled excitement is because Ive done a dispute, PFD, etc. Even called (with PFD mentality) no dice.  All of a sudden gone. My birthday was the 3rd of Nov. Id love to look at as a gift from above. However, my cynic nature wont allow it.  So can someone tell me why is it just gone? Will it comeback? I called TU and asked what happened they didn't even have a record of the account period. EQ, well lets just say language barrier. EX well they were the only ones still reporting on 11/02/09 but as of today gone.  Is there anything I can do to stop it from coming back? This is the 3rd or 4th collection agency for this account.  Or do just let sleeping dogs.....

Re: Have you ever had a FO(Fall Off)?

The CA could of returned the collection to its original collector.

I have had that happen.

And it hasn't come back yet, it was suppose to be on my record until 2011.

So I just left it alone.

Raised my score by 6 points also =)

Re: Have you ever had a FO(Fall Off)?

Hey 1comingback,

I recently had a similar experience with Pinnacle on an old T-Mobile debt. Pinnacle was reporting the collection for an old T-Mobile account I had (DOFD 2/2005). I sent a DV in late August 2009. Mid-September it fell off my credit reports. I called T-Mobile & PIFed. I obtained a statement showing the account was paid in full.

My main concern would be that the debt would be resold to another CA. If you can PIF, I'd suggest contacting T-Mobile to see if they have the account.

Good luck!

Re: Have you ever had a FO(Fall Off)?

Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for responding HBG!

I contacted tmobile and they said I had to deal with the CA.  I can PIF with no problem at this point what "I" was disputing isnt worth my time or the FICO hit.  I tried all the traditional routes as I posted with no love from them.  All of a sudden blam its gone! Well maybe I will contact them again about a PIF so I ensure no more drama.

Re: Have you ever had a FO(Fall Off)?

Questions:

1.  What state are you in?  Does your state have shorter limits on Cell phone bills?

2.  Are you sure your dispute did not result in the deletions?  Sometimes it can take 60 or more days.

Comments:

1.  If you settle the account, be sure you get an agreement "not to report" or some sort of PFD hybrid, otherwise it is possible they report the PAID COLLECTION.

Re: Have you ever had a FO(Fall Off)?

Thx for responding!

Answers:

Im PA.

SOL is up.

Well they sent me a stack of about 400pgs with every bill I ever got with them. I thought that was verification. I then tried PFD in writing and by phone.

Comments:

Yeah if I settled I will do "not to report" deal but I really didn't want to stir that nest unnecessarily. Not knowing why they have done this has puzzled me as far as how to handle it from here.  But I am happy!
