Hi everyone, I sent PFD letter to a utility company. They responded saying that they would update the chargeoff as "closed" and "paid in full" but no deletion. A few days later Transunion (only bureau it reported to since last year) notified me that it was removed. I'm confused. I don't understand why it is removed if they said they can't deleted. On top of that, they haven't received a payment. Are they going to put it back on. Oh and in the letter, they told my to pay 244 when the chargeoff on my report showed a balance of 212.

If I call them and pay it immediately, will they report it again?
Try to get theri oral agreement not to report if you pay.
I would not push too hard or insist upon written confirmation, as you are requesting a favor.
