Help please!!

Hi everyone i'm new here and can't thank you all enough for all the advice I have read!  I am on my way to building up my credit score.  Though right now there are several things on my report that i'm trying to get rid of.

The first thing is I have 3 BOA accounts all of which have been paid in full.  I wrote a GW letter but am unsure who to send it to.

I have a settlement from Portfolio recovery I read they are hard to get to GW though they were reporting me as KD i thought collections couldnt do that?  Also they reported this in the month of Feb I had the account paid off in jan.  If im right is there something i can do?

There is a account by Gc Services a collection account for Dish Network. We had them about two years ago and canceld.  The thing is my wife was the one who set up and delt with the account she only put me on as a authorzed person they did ask for my ss# from her when we first signed up as they said that they needed it to add as a authorized user.  Though I never spoke to anyone or signed a thing.  I called Dish and they told me i was reasponsible. I told them to look back from when the account was set up and they told me they didnt have records from then.  Is there something I can do about this?

Verizon: Is reporting the same collection account twice the one account they would report OKOK 90DAYS ok ok KF ok ok ok 90 kd ok  .  Is there something I can do about this as they obviosuly did not report right.

Chase:  I am dealing with a collection agency but Chase still owns the card.

Also I have three medical bills and have the Hippa letter ready to send to Cra just one question if i know its mine should i still dispite.  Or should I just skip that and go to sending the funds to the OC?

Thanks!!

Send it to the address on your report for BoA.

If this was settled in Jan, they shouldn't report anything negative for Feb. I would first try just GW'ing them before doing anything else. Is this reported in the collections section of your report?

Is this PIF?  If yes, I would DV them CMRRR.

Is this PIF? Beyond SOL?  Are they reporting both accounts or them one and a CA one?

Chase:  I am dealing with a collection agency but Chase still owns the card.

Is the CA reporting? Is this beyond SOL? What is the DOFD? Can you PIF?

Always follow the HIPAA process step by step.

Thanks!!

Re: Help please!!

For portfolio:The one credit buearu is still showing a balance and the other one showed a KD for Feb would it dome any good to contact my AG as i called them at the beginning of feb and was assured everything was off.

The account for Gc Services is only for 98.00 I havent paid a penney yet as i want it off my record.

Verizon: For both accounts it's the same account number i didnt pay it yet one has a zero balance the other is 139.00. One was open 7-1-04 the other was open 10-1-05.

Chase: It is not beyond Sol.  The Ca is not reporting and told me Chase still owns that account.

What do you mean "they assured you everything was off"? Who assured you and what do you mean by "off"? Were they supposed to remove the account?  IMO, I wouldn't start with the AG. I would leave this as a backup.

If your wife owes this amount, I would call Dish Network and PIF, then DV the CA.  Or you could just DV the CA.  I would go option 1.

Was this for a cell phone? If not, is it beyond SOL?

Chase: It is not beyond Sol.  The Ca is not reporting and told me Chase still owns that account.

Can you PIF? If so, I would negotiate a pay for not reporting with the CA.

You could always ask Chase to pull the account from collections and allow you to PIF or set up payments.

Unless they are actively trying to collect, it might be best not to contact anyone until you can PIF since it is within SOL.

Unless you have some kind of agreement in writing with Portfolio, then I would send them a GW letter.

If the Verizon account is yours, your only option is to offer PFD and if they don't accept PIF and then GW them to death. Or you can just skip the PFD and PIF and then GW. Verizon is tough.

I would try to negotiate a pay for not reporting with the CA on the Chase account.

Yes, if it is the same account you can dispute as duplicate accounts. If verified, send Verizon the "OC investigation letter" where you dispute under FCRA and ask for an investigation on the accounts being reported.

If that doesn't work, file a complaint with the BBB, your AG, and their AG.
