Help with Collection

I have collection on one of my TU and EX reports.  It's a for a returned check $55.  I have DV'd and PFD'd the address listed on my credit reports but have heard nothing.  Should I send one more PFD by CMRRR and if no response contact the CRA's and show proof that I am trying to pay this debt but have heard nothing from the company? 

Also, it says Date Opened: 03/06 and Date Reported 06/05/08-which date do I go by?

Neither of those dates mean much.  It has to be the DoFD.  The OC should be listed somewhere and show the date the check was written.
