Hello Everyone,
So this is the situation I got myself into. I slipped up and let a cable bill enter collections. Stupid mistake. Whats really bad is that it was sent to collections in my Dads name. When I first moved away to college my Dad setup the internet/cable (We invested in a condo) and I never got around to switching it over to my name over the years and this past summer I wasn't thinking straight and failed to keep up with the bill. My parents have worked extremely hard to maintain a solid credit score and its not far for them to suffer because of my mistake. Currently he doesn't know and I been trying to get it removed. I sent a letter to the collections company trying to work out a deal but all they sent me back was verification of the debt, nothing about my offer for a pay delete. What would be the next smartest move?
Thanks for your time,
Ry
Call the OC and see if they will work with you. Have your story ready before calling. Some OCs will pull it back from the CA with a PIF. If they accept get it in writing.

Funny thing about this story is, I'm paying DS cable bill this friday(oh later today), before going to collections--Call on monday they pulled it back from CA.
DS recieved a letter on the 28th monday, was dated the 21st said going to collections.
Good thing i called, they were turning it over on the 30th-- last day of the month.
Boy, they turn them over quick---DS missed 2payment in a row
Agree with Happydays
Thank you Happy for reminding me to get it in writing!!
