How GW letters can help

A couple of days back I had sent GW letters to two CC companies about 2 respective 30 day late's in 2012. I had called them but they had vehemently turned down my request.

I finally convinced myself that I should write and so I appealed to their humanity in my letter.

I didn't get a reply from either of them.

I refreshed my report right now and found both of them to missing. Its weird I know. . My score jumped 66 points to 718.

The reason I refreshed was because BML(bill me later) had made an inquiry without my direct authorization. They did it when I was using my BML credit to buy some stuff.

Hence I wanted a new report. And there I saw the missing items. its so weird that now I miss them. Very much. My ugly little ones!

This is just a word of encouragement to those that are still doubtful about writing GW letters.

Don't lose hope.

Re: How GW letters can help

Update:

They were just missing from my Equifax report.

My Transunion still shows them. Smiley Sad

What a rude awakening!

Any ideas why ?

Re: How GW letters can help

If you have a current account with BML that gives them direct authorization.  They don't have to ask.

Re: How GW letters can help

Give it time to fall off all 3 CRAs.

Starting myFICOs 2013
TU:664 March --> 726 May 25
EQ: 687 on March 6 --> 772 May 25
USAA EX (FAKO): 701 March 27 --> 768 May 26
Original goal (720+ across the board) achieved!

I actually called them and they said it was because my account has been created twice(not me Smiley Tongue I only have one social security)

They will combine the two account and consolidate the balances and they asked me to submit a dispute with Equifax to get them removed.

But if BML can just put in hard inquires anytime they want, thats so not fair!

Yea, any existing creditor can do that.  You would think they would do a SP and not a HP though.
