Re: How do I dispute this?

I have a Cap 1 account like this as well. It's a charge off but doesn't show under the "CO" heading on my CR, instead its under "Negative Accounts", is this grounds for a dispute?

Re: How do I dispute this?

More info needed, please.

My understanding is that Certegy is neither an original creditor nor a third part debt collector.  They appear to be a service used by certain credtiors in the apporoval of checks offered to them at time of sale.

Who is the original creditor on a reported debt default?

Is there a third pary CA?  Did this "Certegy" ever provide you duniing notice under FDCPA 809(a) alledging to be a third-party collection agency acting on behalf of the OC?

So, first nail down the OC on any debt, then if their is a legit 3rd party CA, and then determine how this "Certegy" qualifies as either.  If they dont, they cannot make post to your CR.

Re: How do I dispute this?

Robert the OC is Lebo's

There is a 3rd party CA out there somewhere because Certegy has sold/transferred this account

I have never recieved anything from Certegy just found them listed on my CR
