How do I handle this?

I have a new collection account opened up on my CR this week.  I have paid the OC a few months ago and still have the receipt.  The OC said they would take care of the CA when I called them on Thursday as they said it should have been done when I paid it; however the CA is still reporting.  How long should I give them to remove it before I do anything else?  If I do need to do something, what would it be?  Do I send the paid receipt to the CA or to the Bureaus with a dispute?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: How do I handle this?

Hello,

More than likely it's probably already handled, but can take up to 30 to 45 days to update with the credit reporting agencies. I would just wait to see if it falls off before I dispute anything.

Re: How do I handle this?

Thanks for the response.  I guess I am impatient because I was planning to apply for a home refinance in July and now this!  I will wait it out; but, I just wanted it gone!  What is it that they say about patience being a virtue?  Gotta remember that!  Thanks again.....

You might see it off sooner, just give it time!
