The common credit reporting manual developed by the big-3 CRAs uses what they refer to as the "Metro 2" credit reporting code format.
The date of first delinquency is stored in field code 25 of the Metro 2 format, and in the base segment of the consumer's credit file.
It is titled the FCRA Compliance Date/Date of First Delinquency.

Thanks Robert. Is it possible to find this information from the Credit Report ? If so where would I find it in the Credit Report. I am trying to figure out if some of accounts are still in SOL or not. Is there an easy way to find out.
The primary way of showing the correct and actual DOFD is by your own personal billing records, as that is factual documentation of when your current chain of account delinquency began, using the billing due dates from those records, with additional showing that subsequent months remained delinquent.
That is not from your credit report.
Your credit file will, if you had a reported charge-off or collection, store the reported DOFD, but like any item reported to a CRA, is subject to reporting inaccuracies, and is not factual evidence that can independently establish the real DOFD. It is subject to dispute if you have your own records that show a different DOFD.
If you wish to check the reported DOFD from your credit report, you can obtain the most detailed report from either annualcreditreport.com or directly from the CRA.
If that does not provide the reported DOFD, you can always either make an informal call to the creditor or debt collector, or you can make a formal request with the CRA for that specific information under the acessibillity provisions of FCRA 609(a), which provides the right of a consumer to request and receive, upon payment the requisite fee, "any item of information of record in their credit file."
