How is TrueCredit more updated than myFICO?

I got my updated information from TrueCredit this morning, which pulls the TU report, and it included a lot of recent deletions and updates.  So I got antsy and bought my FICO score again, (only TU), and it remains unchanged from 2 days ago.  I thought it would show a score change due to the updated TU report - and I got these updates from calling TU directly, so I know they are in the report.  Is myFICO delayed in their actual data pull from TU?  Had I known it wouldn't be different, I wouldn't have wasted another $20.

When myFICO runs your score, it takes your current TU then runs it's algorithm.  myFICO has not control over what's on your TU report.  I have no idea why those items would still be listed on your CR report.

Re: How is TrueCredit more updated than myFICO?

My apologies!  I looked at it again and all of the updates from TU are there - I clicked on the wrong link.  I now have today's score, and a score from 10/28 - but they are both the same.  So the updates are there, but the score did not change.

So I take back what I said - the report is indeed updated.  I just expected the score to change, I had 4 recent collections deleted!  TrueCredit FAKO score went up 9 points.  Maybe FICO will go up in another week or so.  Maybe its too soon.

Thanks!

The important thing to take from this is you have cleaned up 4 recent collections.  That's no small feat!   You really won't see a lot of growth on your scores until you're down to just a couple or few.  Then when those start coming off you'll see a good bump.  So keep going.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.  The report is scored based on what is on the report.  It doesn't take more time after the removal to see a score increase.  So there are probably other baddies that are still holding you down.  Still, as Shogun said, this is a positive thing.  If you hadn't had these removed, then they would have been the things holding you down once you resolved the other items.  Keep moving forward.
