How long does it take for your score to adjust once negative info falls off/is deleted?

Hello,

How long does it take for your score to adjust once negative info falls off/is deleted? I recently had a collection to fall off of my credit report. Will there be an increase in my score? If so, will it be immediate or will it take a while?

Do you have your scores previous to the delete?  If you monitor your reports, just watch for when you see the item gone & then pull a score or 2 here....maybe give it a week to be safe...then pull.

How is the collection expected to fall off? Is it just due to the expiration of the 7 1/2 years from the DOFD?

Or is it because the CA agreed to delete it?

If it is due to expiration of 7 1/2 years from the DOFD on the OC account, it is dependent upon whether the CA accurately reported the DOFD in your CA account file.  It is not unknown for a CA to report innacurate DOFD to the CRAs.

Can you provide details of what you are using as the basis for the CA "falling off?"

Hi,

It has already fallen off of my report. I did not dispute it. I checked my CR recently and compared accounts. I had one less collection account on mt report.
