How to get comments removed from accounts

So a LOT of my accounts include the comment:  "Dispute resolved; consumer disagrees" -- even on accounts that I have never disputed and would have no reason to.

For example, my newly opened secured Citibank credit card with a perfect payment record and reported balance of zero has this comment.

Can you dispute comments?  How do you get them removed?  I understand if you are applying for a mortgage in the future, these comments make it harder to get approved.

Thanks in advance.

Call the CRAs tell them you are not disputing anything, nor have you disputed anything and you want the comments removed.

Also, if you've ever had a direct dispute with lender (charges, unauthorized charges. fees etc) they might report it as a dispute. That annotation "consumer disagrees" simply refers to the whatever you addressed with the lender directly

That's what happened with one of my Chase cards after they processed same charge twice.

Re: How to get comments removed from accounts

The comments you referenced below were likely placed in your report by the actual CB so it’s within their power to remove it.

However, if you have comments such as “
Account closed by credit grantor’ or past due account, etc; those were placed by the credit grantor and you must submit a dispute to get them removed. Those are harder than hell to get off as I’m trying that now.

Re: How to get comments removed from accounts

My experience with this particular remark differs. It was a result of direct dispute and reported by lender, then subsequently removed by lender

This annotation is quite different than the actual dispute, because there is no dispute with the CRA

It's lender provided info.

Maybe if OP lets us know whether he ever had to contact this/these lenders with any issues, we'd have a better picture on what happened
