How to remove dispute remarks from accounts

After spending the past year and a half working very hard to raise our credit scores a great deal after they had plummeted when my husband was dealing with some health issues (which have thankfully long since resolved), we have finally reached the point where we are in a position to start the process of purchasing a new home.  This has been a long time coming as the home that we bought almost 15 years ago is much too small for us; however, since it is entirely paid for and has no mortgage, we are going to keep it as a rental property for extra icome, but we need to get out of it and into something with much more space.

We are currently working with a great mortgage lender who has been extremely helpful.  We are doing a USDA loan and our loan officer has said that our scores and income level are all in great shape for USDA's guaranteed underwriting; however, my husband has two old collection accounts that will be falling off his reports in another year.  These two collections themselves are not an issue as far as our mortgage approval, but the fact that they show we had previously disputed them is.  Our lender has told us that the disputes on these two collections are the only things that are holding up our approval becasue the GUS system for USDA can't process loans that show disputes on collection accounts.  He said that before we can proceed with our approval, we need to have those dispute remarks removed and then we will be good to go.  We went onto my husband's Experian account last night and requested to delete the dispute comments, but Experian immediatley came back and said that the previous disputes were valid and did not remove them, so we are now at a loss.

Does anyone know how we can get these dispute remarks quickly and easily removed?  This is literally the only thing that is standing between us and our dream home!

Perhaps try asking them to remove the comments in writing or over the phone with a supervisor?

Unfortunately, it is entirely impossible to get anyone on the phone at Experian.  We've been trying since the middle of last week and you cannot get past their automated system and get to a live human being.  My husband just tried again about 15-20 minutes ago and got the same result.  He tried pushing zero a bunch of times to try to get through, but it doesn't work.  He was able to get through to Equifax with no problems and they did what we needed them to do.  He is going to try calling TransUnion next, but that still leaves Experian.   We have to find a way to get in touch with them somehow since they apparently do not answer their phones.

As @OmarGB9  suggested,  if you get to the point of complete frustration from trying to speak to an agent on the phone you can send them a letter CMRR (Certified Mail Return Receipt) with your request.

Re: How to remove dispute remarks from accounts

We have been trying to reach both Experian and TransUnion for the past 2 hours by phone, trying mutltiple different numbers for both, but it is entirely possible to get anyone on the phone.  We had no trouble getting right through to Equifax last week, so I don't know why these two other bureaus refuse to answer their phones.
