How to word pay for delete in all different ways when calling and requesting it.

I emailed bureau of account management and asked if they do pay for delete. They responded by saying they weren’t able to discuss that. So i called and worded it as pay for delete (rookie move) and the man said he does not discuss pay for delete that we can talk about paying or something like that. It felt like had i worded it differently he would have went for it. These are medical collections by the way.

Try what amount can we agree with to have this collection removed from my credit report. Like the old show. Lets Make a Deal. Smiley Happy

For unpaid medical debt that is reporting on your CR:

1. Call the OC and see if insurance can be billed, if not then
2. see if you qualify for Charity Care, if not then
3.  ask that they recall the collection in exchange for full payment
4. Send the reporting CA a PFD offer
5. Google the HIPAA Process and contact its creator for help

Re: How to word pay for delete in all different ways when calling and requesting it.

When a creditor reports to a CRA, they are under a reporting agreement that includes agreement to comply with the credit reporting procedures of the CRA.

The big-4 CRAs have a common credit reporting manual titled the Credit Reporting Resource Guide, which sets forth their reporting requirements, and is incorported into their credit reporting agreements.

The CRRG includes, at numerous places, explicit policy agreement that furnishers not delete accurate reporting based on the consumer having paid the debt.  That CRA reporting policy is a based on their business need to maintain the completeness of their credit files, and subjective deletion based on payment of the debt results in incomplete credit histories.

Furnishers regularly refuse to put into writing any PFD agreements, or in some cases, such as yours, may instruct their underlings not to discuss requests for deletion that are contrary to their credit reporting agreement with the CRAs.

Underlings are generally not authorized to discuss matters over which they have no discretion to grant.

Thus, it is likely not a matter of your use of the term Pay for Delete, but rather any discussion of the matter in general.

Upper management can choose to grant exceptions to any general non-deletion policies, so if the underlng refuses to discuss, you might contact their executive office and make your PFD plea to one authorized to grant an exception to their normal policy.
