I really need help with Experian

My first problem is, they are reporting a Judgement as unpaid, when in fact it is paid and has been paid for two years. A few months ago they marked it as such. I sent them a written dispute, with a copy of a one month credit report showing it's paid. They responded today, stating that there automated verification system verified it correctly. WTH do I do? I also just had a collection account deleted and my score dropped (I also have a CJ account freshly reporting).

My second problem is in general with T-Mobile. They are reporting an account with a collection agency that I never opened. I have sent in upwards of 10 DV letters with no repsonse, yet the bureau validates. T-Mobile called me yesterday and stated that the only way to get it removed was to file a police report naming a suspect. They claim that my information was correctly used. WTH is that? Obviously it was correctly used by someone who used my name!!

Re: I really need help with Experian

Just give it a little time.... This one is outside my realm of understanding so Im not going to try and answer it but someone will be around to help you eventually. You have to remember its almost the middle of the night in some parts of the states Smiley Wink

I can give you some advice though for making your posts more noticeable. Ask a more specific question in your like "Paid judgment showing as unpaid on Equifax..Help"

Also try to only ask one question per post.... as to not overwhelm or confuse any potential helpers.

And last but not least... Break your post up into tiny bits like I just did with mine. It been proven that the mind processes information faster in smaller pieces even when its the same amount of information.

Good Luck!

Re: I really need help with Experian

Can't really comment on the PR, but all new accounts have dropped my scores by 20-25 points after my 3rd opened TL. But most of the points returned after 4-6 mo. Back to the PR, I don't think your score would improve any if fixed. However, a manual review may be impactful.

You need the police report for T-mobile. It'll go away if you disputed with it.

Re: I really need help with Experian

Regarding the judgment issue ... Send them a written dispute, along with a copy of proof that the judgment is paid. A copy of a credit report saying it's paid isn't proof of payment. What you need is a receipt or a statement from the creditor showing a zero balance.

Regarding the T-Mobile issue ... since T-Mobile is telling you that your identifying information was correctly used, you need to file a fraud alert with all the credit reporting agencies, indicating that your identity appears to have been stolen.  It'll make it harder for you to get your credit reports.  But, it will stop anyone from using your information.

Re: I really need help with Experian

Re: the judgment; my sister had the same problem so I called up the OC reporting it as paid, went back and forth with them over the phone and email while they dug up information. They submitted the proper info to the proper people and within 30 days, her information was up to date.

Good luck.
