Hey y'all..I have a question about this collection account. I called today to see if I could pay for this account (I owe $1200ish to the anesthiologist that I could've sworn was included in total cost of surgery but clearly I was wrong) and get it deleted. I believe the rep was new or just wasn't very knowledgable because the phone kept going silent for extended periods of time before he would give me an answer. He told me that upon payment or settlement, once the account is paid in full they release it from their inventory and then it gets recalled or returned the original creditor and will update in 30-45 days with the credit bureaus. I have no idea what any of that means so I asked if that means it will be deleted from my report because I cannot pay this account if it is not removed. He just repeated the same thing he said before. I eventually had to get off the phone because he was like a robot and not answering my question directly. Does anyone know what this means? Or does anyone have experience with this company? I was thinking I would just call back and maybe speak with someone else but I woud like some more info before I do. Thank you in advance.
Hello, yes that mean they will deleted it after the payment. I disputed this company in the past and they didn't have my account anymore and they just deleted without me paying anything.
Did you try and try to call the Dr.'s office and pay it in return for them to recall the debt yet? Try the OC first.

I just had one removed by IC Systems. I paid them in full. They reported it paid and said 30 days from that report date (in other words the next time they reported), it would be removed. I did not want to wait that long, so I filed dispute stating it was paid and they promised to remove per a recorded conversation. It was removed from EX in 2 days and TU took about a week. Can't speak to what would happen if you wait, because I chose not to.
Medical collections are some of the easiest to get removed from your CRs, here are the steps that you should follow to address them:
1. Call the OC and see if insurance can be billed, (or-rebilled), collections ultimately paid by insurance get removed per new rules that came from CRAs settlement with 22 state AGs. If not then
2. see if you qualify for Charity Care, if not then
3. ask that they recall the collection in exchange for full payment
4. Send the reporting CA a PFD offer
5. Google the HIPAA Process and contact its creator for help, this process cannot be discussed in any forum of myFico.
I had a collection with IC Systems. I called them on the 6th of this month and paid the balance in full, by the 9th my credit reports showed a 0 balance, and by the 15th they were completely removed from my reports. Hope this helps.

I paid them on the 8th, 12th credit reports showed 0 balance. Still on reports. Called and they said their policy is 30 days after the payments posts they request deletion. I got that in writing, but didn't need to, because it was recoreded on my end and it states it on their website.
@numba1fan did you see a boost when they deleted? Just curious since mine will be deleted soon as well.
@Anonymous It won't take 30 days. It'll be off before that. Probably next week by the latest it should be off. Yes, my score did go up when that collection was deleted!
