Hi,
I am still new to this site. I have learned a lot and have improved my score tremendously. What I am confused about is that this site shows a different set of scores than IdentityGuard does. Can someone explain this to me?
With all these different set of scores, how do I know which one is correct?
Confused in Largo, FL
Your FICO scores are the only scores you should be concerned with. These are the scores used by banks and credit card companies to determine your credit worthiness. You can buy these scores at this site.
Start by reading this thread called Credit Scoring 101.

Are you a MyFico employee, or a partner with them? If you are an employee of MyFico, then your answer is biased, correct? I am trying to figure out the truthfull answer. If you are an employee with them, pls do not reply to my thread.
Does anyone out there know the complete truth about these?
I am totally confused!

As mentioned already, there are only a couple of places outside your lender where you can pull your FICO scores. Not mentioned is where you can pull your EX FICO score. You can no longer pull your EX FICO score on your own (there's a whole board dedicated to this). You can get your EX FICO from your lender or from a CU in PA called PSECU.
Nope, none of us here are employed by FICO, well, other than the one Admin floating here and there. We are all volunteers who happened to stumble upon this website at some point in time looking for advice and found a good resource. Most of us here were helped with great advice and we now are paying it forward to help others.

I can see that you are new to the board. As you might observe we do not use the tone in your message to respond to our collegues. Be midnful that you come here asking for opinion not purchasing one. so please be kind. We are all trying to help. I have managed to improve my understanding of credit by reading this board dialy.
And yes identity guard is a fake score. I have used them before I was educated about FICO and actually my real FICO score was higher than Identiy guard. I find that they are behind on their information by at least one month. I have sicne cancelled the service.
I have subscibed to mycreditkeeper, pull my score every month, they are close to MyFico, Infact when I applied for mortgage, NCB pulled EQ and TU, they given me exact score as in mycreditkeeper, Myfico was off by 12 & 7 on EQ/TU respectively
Public reminder to everyone: please be kind, friendly, and supportive!
