Hello and thank you to all,
In my credit re-building journey, I have a couple of starter cards that I know are horrible, but for now they're a start, and all are reporting a zero balance.
Last fall, due to a processing error with my bill pay company, Indigo's payment was not sent on time. Not until several weeks later when I got a message from Indigo did I become aware of this...on the bill pay site there was every indication that it had been sent as scheduled and successfully processed. The card was subsequently paid off by me and has remained at a zero balance for the better part of the year, with an occasional charge that is always been paid in full....used maybe 3-4 months in the last year. There are no other lates or overlimits or anything.
I have a letter from the bill-pay service indicating that this was their error and requesting that any credit report notations be removed, and the bill pay service paid the late fees. What is the best way to go about requesting a good will adjustment on my credit report from Genesis Financial? Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide.

Do you have any evidence of this?
yes, as mentioned I have a letter from the bill pay service, and also have a copy of the Better Business Bureau resolution in which they acknowledged their error.

I would submit it to the creditor first to give them the opportunity to correct this.
I would give them a chance to respond or to see of they make any changes to your credit reports which sometimes can tale 30-60d.
Did you call the creditor? Did they pay the late fees to the FI or to you?
The bill pay company paid the late fees.
I wasn't sure if I should call Indigo or write them. I don't want to put it in dispute on my CR because *technically* it was late. I just don't know how receptive Indigo is to GW.
I have one late in 2018. I emailed the president of Genesis Credit last month a GW letter. I received a call the next day. They claim they don't take lates off. I saw try anyway what to do you have to lose.

He doesn't need it - the letter from the bill pay service covers this.
OP - send a copy of the letter claiming their error caused the missed payment to the CC company requesting them to remove the late payment notation on your CRA file. They should do it.
