Info not updated

I had paid a credit union a settlement. The settlement offer stated it would be updated on 4/26, I received a letter on the 23rd stating they received payment and it was reported to the credit bureaus. I checked today and none are updated yet, does it take time to show up or should I contact the creditor and tell them, should I file a dispute?

It could take up to 2 months to be reported correctly. First, they'll report the new balance after payment. Then they'll update to 0. You can expect score hits with them. If you're lucky, they may report 0 off the bat, but that's not typical.

Okay thank you, they actually haven't updated anything with it at all, I'm trying my best to clear it up before the new construction I'm looking at sells out or raises their prices.

Once sent to the CRA it can take them up to 2 weeks to get it updated. Usually EX is the quickest.
