Was just nailed by an 8 year old default judgment, that appears to be legit. Now I worry about other old judgments coming back to bite me. I did not know about this one and I can't even check my reports for them because any credit mistakes I have are all from about 10 years ago so they are no longer reporting. I checked with my local county clerk and this is the only one I found but I'm not sure if that is a comprehensive list. If I were sued at the district justice level vs the court of common pleas level, I'm not sure if those records would show were I checked.
So my question relates to the exemptions on time limits for reporting in the FCRA that I have heard mentioned here many times. Apparently, if you apply for a loan of more than $150,000, the report that creditor pulls can or will include all previously reported items regardless of the time limits.
If this is true, I wonder if I can request a copy of such a report for myself. So that I can guard against any more surprises.
Anyone have thoughts or advice on the subject??

What you are referring to is the full factual report which may contain stuff that has been excluded over the last 10 years, the CRAs dont keep negatives around any longer than they do for positives, you will need to check with county courts where you think you have a judgment to find them, you cannot get one of these reports and I doubt a mortgage lender is going to pull one for you just to find this out they are expensive and really not used very often. Good luck

If they are used at all, or if it is possible to use them don't you think consumers have the right to view them? The same way we have the right to view our regular reports? I'm going to contact the CRAs to ask about this.
