Is this a duplicate????

Is it ok for the original creditor to report that an account is derrogatory and for it to also be reported for a completely different amount as a judgement.  My husbands report looks as though he owes two completely different creditors large sums of money, but it's really the same credit card account that they settled out of court for before his court date.

Duplicate reporting is the same creditor/collection agency reporting the same account under two entries.

Duplicate reporting is NOT--

An OC and CA both reporting

An OC report and a judgment reporting

An OC, CA, and judgment reporting

So, if a judgment was entered in court, the judgment and the OC can both report.
