GREAT CU
I waited months and months after my 13 DC in early 2021 to receive my dad's DD-214 so I could join NFCU.
It was well worth the effort and the time.
Very nice, congratulations on getting in with Navy! They're a great CU that can be very generous in time. Welcome to the forum.

@Paulhines170 congrats & welcome. You have taken two more steps to rebuilding, joining this forum and NFCU. I am very fortunate as well to have been able to join NFCU. I was even more lucky bc although my Dad and both brothers were Marines, I did not have any of the ppw to turn in. I called on Thanksgiving day last year and believe it or not, I had an extremely friendly and helpful rep that said "no problem that you don't have the documentation, we can still go ahead and process you over the phone to be a member." I opened a savings that day and shortly after a checking acct. Once those were done I used their prequal to see what was up and boom I was approved for all 3 and pulled the trigger on the NFCU Plat w/ $25K starting limit and 18 month balance transfer!!!! Very happy to be part of NFCU. Happy for you as well!
Congrats!

That is incredible man! I also did mine over the phone and they only asked me if i had the paperwork but still havent tried to verify it... so idk if they will or not. But im super excited to have the oppritunity to step in with this CU!
Any tips you could give to a newbie? Open to all! My credit score sits around the 600s but i have 3 CO accounts unfourtanatly but all are under $200 and 1 i have paid off already. so i guess what im asking is there any type of plan i should follow with NFCU to get my foot in the door with their cards or products?
Thank you!
