Hope this helps some of you! In my past experiences, TU is hardest one to work with on this, as they don't let you upload documents when doing an online dispute. I've seen them come off reports (if the wording is in the Motion) in 24-48 hours. One thing to make sure of, is that the Judgement is showing as "Paid Civil Judgement" on your report before doing this. Otherwise, they will just update it to that status.
Great post! "hereby release xxx from judgment" is this the same thing as what you stated to get it removed?

Is that the body of the Motion, or the title? If that is the title, that is what you're looking for.
If its the body, that possibly could work, but the statement of "all derogatory remarks removed" is the best wording that you can have in the Motion. I'm at my main job right now, or I would copy and paste an example of one I helped out with recently. What I've seen in the past, worst case, they will just decline your dispute. I've only helped about 6 people with this and all but one of them had them removed. The person I learned this from claims to have helped over 20 people this way. But I personally don't know the individual........ and you know what they say about reading things on the internet.
My own experience so far has been good, but I only had one that I removed this way from my own report. But I've helped out others, and have seen fairly good results.
Great info OldMan. Dreamer please keep us posted. Im having an issue getting an old satisfied judgment removed and this info is very helpful Thanks again
Wow thank you Old_Man! I need to try this asap. I have done everything I could think of to get this judgement removed, one was just a simple dispute and i believe EX removed it, I cant remember which one but the other two wont budge.

There is another way to get Judgements removed from your reports. You'll need to get a copy of "The Satisfaction of Judgement" motion from the courthouse, (or from the Plaintiff's Attorney). This is filed automatically (supposed to be anyway) once the debt has been paid and the Judgement has been satisfied. Here's the important part! Read it carefully, you're looking for a comment that basically states "and all derogatory comments should be removed." Most of them have this language in some form or another.
If the Satisfaction of Judgement contains this terminology, file a dispute with the CRA's with a reason of "Remove by Plaintiff's Request". That's it, nothing else. Make sure to include a copy of the Satisfaction of Judgement, and keep a copy of everything for yourself. This is a YMMV type situation, (it depends on the wording that in the motion) but I've had sucess with this method, especially when dealing with medical collections. Hope this helps.
Excellent info! Thank you for joining and adding this!
OP, good luck with the removal process!
Ok, I have uploaded blessed Equifax reps out about it until they got me a manager on the phone. I faxed as instructed so now should I follow up? I want this thing off!

Patience. Let them do their jobs, if the language is in the Motion, it should come off. I always try and be as nice as possible when dealing with the CRA's. I know that it can be frustrating, but the old saying about "flys and honey" really is true. If you don't have a resolution withing the 30 days, I'd follow up then. Try and get the same manager that you talked with this time, and be polite and curtious. They should have given you a dispute number, you can check the status with that, (online) hopefully it won't take long.
I don't want to hijack the thread, but I have a similar question. I had a judgment in 2011 that was paid through a Writ of Execution (I had moved and had no idea that there was even a court case. Even though I filed change of address with the P.O. they "couldn't find me"). The law firm went into my checking account and took close to $3000 more than the writ allowed (I'm starting a separate thread about them). After all of the headaches, I would like to have this removed. I found this thread and I'm wondering if the wording is enough in the Satisfaction:
Discover Bank vs Me
Praecipe to Satisfy Judgment Against Garnishee, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.
To the Prothonotary:
Kindly Satisfy Judgment against as to Garnishee, WELLS FARGO BANK, N.A., in the above-captioned matter
Or did they screw me by making the satisfaction for the bank, not me?
Like I said, I'm going to start a thread about them, as they're still calling me regularly. But that's another kettle of fish
