I've read on here of people getting a favorable response after several tries so don't give up. Will be hoping with you for more positive responses from the other guys. I am brand new to this forum.  My husband and I are trying to buy a house and there were some credit items that we need to get cleaned up on our report.  I googled "clearning up bad credit" and found good information on good will letters.  I see that many of you are emailing them.  Is there some type of "master list" with email addresses.  Does email work better than regular mail?

Thanks to anyone of you for your help.  I would love to get my hands on the email addresses as we are supposed to close on our house in less than a month.

Welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately these forums don't support others' direct info like e-mail addresses (e.g. [email protected]) so you wouldn't find a master list here. However, non-direct e-mails like accounts@bozocollections that don't point to someone's name is OK to post. Posters can also PM info back and forth or post a link that has this info (e.g. spoke.com or the consumerist as an example).

IMO, snail mail works best. Why? Because once an e-mail goes public, then everyone and everyone's mom is using it. I imagine that they ignore some after a while. Plus in the time that you look for an e-mail, a letter could have arrived. Now that's not to say that e-mails don't work; there's plenty of success in here either way.

Everyone you contacted appears to be an OC except for Portfolio recovery. 

                           Did you DV  Portfolio recovery before paying ?  Who was the OC on this account?

I paid them before I even knew what a dv letter was. The original creditor was capital one.
