My husband pays his student loan each month but looking at his credit report it shows lates from 2006 and 2007. The Sallie Mae account is broken down into 3 different TL's and each TL shows these lates....how long will those stay on? Will lates fall off or are they still being factored into his score being so old?

Each late will be remove from the date of occurance. Depending when in 2006 it will be removed this yr and the one from 2007 will be next year. Once they are removed it will listed as a positive.
Some forum members have experienced some success with sending out Goodwill letters to Sallie Mae, asking them to remove late payments from reporting, as a one time gesture of Goodwill.
Ok, so lates also fall off after 7 years? Even if the account is still open and currently being paid?
I tried once to GW Sallie Mae and heard nothing but crickets! I've heard success with Sallie Mae is TOUGH! In my husbands defense the lates were reported as 120 days late (never shows a 30 or 60) right when the loan started. He didn't know he was supposed to be making payments at that time.
