Hey all..it's been a while since I've posted. Good things have happened...
First off I was dealing with some charge offs and late pays. Was able to pay for delete some, some aged off, some I requested early deletion or disputed. I still have a few to deal with but I am determined. I had three installment accounts but no revolving accounts. I applied for and was approved for a $200.00 secured Cap One card which they have already given me a $300.00 unsecured increase in my limit. Then a few months later I received a pre-approval in the mail for a Walmart card...I was approved for $300.00. Just today I finally got the shopping cart trick to work for me after trying for many years...$500.00 for Victoria's Secret. Really don't shop there but wanted to add a third revolving credit with a SP. Not much or high dollar limits but they are definately helping me build up.
Last but not least after being down to one vehicle last year I was able to purchase a brand new Toyota Tundra!!! My equifax score was sitting at 634 up from the 500's. I was so nervous but needed a vehicle so badly that I decided to give it a shot. The Toyota dealership pulled Equifax and my auto enhanced was 651. $1500.00 down and a few hours later I drove it home. 10% interest...not great but better than I thought I'd get if approved.
I still have some work to do but I'm not giving up...700 club I am coming for you!!! I couldn't have gotten this far without all the great people on this forum!!! Such a wealth of information...knowledge is power!
