Medical Collections question - HIPAA

If I have 6 medical collections with the collection agencies, should I address them in the HIPAA letter #1 all at one time since I pulled my credit report or six separate letters to each agency?  I just don't want to raise a flag that's not already there. 

Also, are there some disputes that can be done online versus mailings?

I think you can include them in one letter....but only inquire about the ones that are on that report....

You would have to write 6 letters, one for each med collection. You can use one envelop for each CRA though. You must use CMRRR, no online disputes with med collections. Are these collections paid or unpaid? If unpaid, can you pay them in full? In order for the HIPAA process to work, you must have the collections PIF.

These are unpaid collections; however, I can pay them all in full.

use letter #1  dispute with all CRAs reporting. Use seperate paper for each account.

When all disputes are closed....send the OC letter #2...again every account seperate (same envelope)   use insert (B)  with the $ amount

seperate checks for each account!!!!  make each check payable to the OC  on back of checks write  *for deposit only*

Everything gets sent CMRRR

Do I sign these letters or just typed signature?  Also, is it enough identification to have my name and SS# in the letter or might they require copies of further ID?

Yes you can sign these letters.   NO you do not need to send any ID.

Letter #1 goes to CRA, signing is fine. They shouldn't require copies of your ID either. GL!
