Hello Fellow Members,
My mother ask me to scan over her credit file. I told her i would but not sure if i could really be of any help because im still learning myself.
Anyway all her collections are medical & she told me that she had medical ins with each event but someone just didnt file everything right so i guess it never made it to the ins company where they could pay the bill.
So as you know if it waasnt file'd right for the ins company to pay it all has went to a CA..
She still has medical ins with the same people. They are of age that with Transunion EE should do the trick and not have to jump through a bouch of hoops with the ins company and CA's..
What would be the best route to take with EX and EQ?
She has her ins card but with them not knowing anything about it so they couldnt pay it, Im going to say its a safe bet she dont have any documents to show that she had ins on said event and the hospital just did not file it right..
Not sure if this will help but to try and give you all the info i can she had and still has the ins you get when you get ssi / disability.
Could anyone shed some light on what route should be taken for this?
Thanks In Advance
~ Shawn
If she can get the medical debt paid via insurance, the CRA will them remove the collections from her credit report without any involvement of the medical provider or the debt collector. That new policy, established in 2015, is set forth in their National Consumer Assistance Plan.
I would pursue getting the debt paid via medical insurance. If successful, then contact the CRA with proof of payment via insurance, and request removal based on their current CRA policy.

RobertEG,
Thanks my friend I will tell her to call her ins and see what can be done. Does she just tell them she has collections due to them not getting the bill or just give them the info that is showing on her file and simply ask them to pay it?
Thanks In Advance
